Do you know what’s the key factor for a healthy body ?
Your posture, of course ! Good posture and bad posture can make all the difference between a person who reaches his goals, and someone who struggles at doing so.
One can say everything about you just by looking on your posture : a good posture is the sign of being back pain free, having organs that do their job well, and a body who lives and breathes in life energy.
Without a good posture, you’ll be in a bad mood and feel depressed. This is partially caused by the fact that you’re pressing on your lungs and putting extra tension on your spine.
If you want to live as long as the yogis, you’ve got to keep a good posture any time : when standing, when walking, when sitting. Even when you’re lying back.
If you keep more attention to not move with a bad posture, not only you’ll feel happier and calmer, but it will also have an influence on you in other areas of your life !
Such as… your work. You’ll be more productive, more energetic and way more good looking. That can have a tremendous influence on your superiors and get you some promotion !
Or even if you’re the boss, a good posture assures that you’re the “big head” around the place, and that you have the comands in your hands. So, your employees will be more submissive towards your orders.
I’m talking about your body language here. Remember that more than 60% of human communication goes through body language.
Good body language equals to good posture, and eventually equals to high social status – keep that in mind and make it your mantra !
A bad posture influences your sexual life as well. Researches have proven that a individual – would it be a male or a female – who has a good posture, will have more sexual pleasure than individuals whose spine and shoulders are contracted.
Women will have more orgasmic experiences, and men will have stronger erections.
It’s not surprising that the 5 000 years old discipline of yoga emphasizes so much on the importance of good posture. A good posture permits you to breathe fully and fullfil your body’s needs in oxygen – in fact, breathing is living.
And if you restrict your body from breathing, then you’re pushing yourself to “the other side”…
So, remember. Keep a good posture at desk. Keep a good posture at a computer. Keep a good posture while sitting, walking, running – in every areas of your life, this is critical !
To help you avoid the negative effects of a good posture, I’ll give you 2 cool tips that you can quickly apply in your daily life :
Practise yoga ! As I told you before, yoga is the very discipline that understands the importance of good posture. Doing yoga will increaze your life quality at a substantial level. I’d say don’t miss this opportunity.
Have you ever heard of the cape walking style ?
If not, then pay high attention to this tip. It’s a way of walking that involves you to imagine your a super hero and that you have a cape floating behind your back. And – magic ! – your self-esteem is suddenly taken to the roof !
All thanks to your good posture !

Wow, so simple and yet so true, I can relate to this article as I have had many problems with my back and know that I have to think about the way that I sit and walk and lift things up. I will truly keep an eye on this website. A true added value in my lifestyle with http://fitnessarticlesdaily.com/category/fitness-programs/
Funny you should mention that, http://fitnessarticlesdaily.com. I was at a personal development course and they were trying to display what difference posture makes when it comes to our happiness. When we change our physiology (like having good posture), we become happier.
You’ve made me think about lifestyle fitness in an entirely different way. I’d never really thought about lifestyle fitness until I came to this article – I was always slouchy and dumpy. Now, I’m going to stand bright and tall!
I agree with you @ Hunter. We always tend to get sloppy with our posture if we are working behind the desk. I noticed severe back pains when working for a couple of hours. So I decided to do some research and came accross this article righ here: http://fitnessarticlesdaily.com/lifestyle-fitness/lifestyle-fitness-the-ultimate-secret-to-keep-a-healthy-lifestyle-and-body
Thanks so much and I am thinking about creatign articles and submit them here as well just for sharing good thoughts and tips:)
I always played with the creation of a book on my head and moving it to walk, while holding in your stomach muscles and pulling your whole abbots. I have terrible posture.
One of my sons had a bad posture, as a teenager, and did the same. He is an adult now, a great posture.
Try it, you’ll notice that a couple of weeks will be second nature. Good luck.
